spring wreath…

10 Apr

…it’s been a while now that i’ve wanted to make a non-christmas wreath – so in a burst of non-child crafting, miss k and i made these one evening after the kiddies were sleeping. we used straw wreath forms (because they were cheaper and a nicer shape than the styrofoam ones) and wrapped them in yarn – just tying knots and then hiding the ends of each section. i looked up some felt flower tutorials and we whipped those up too…then some hot glue, buttons, oh my! it was a real party, and t had to restrain himself from rolling his eyes at the straw mess we were making on the rug…

i would say in total, because i already had the felt and buttons, this cost about $4 to make. not too shabby. beware, those flowers are pretty addicting…
