workshop doings…

26 Oct

…can you tell by the lighting that it has been the most dreary of days around here? oh sigh. on the plus side, it makes it that much easier to sew and sew and not feel bad about hiding out indoors. these are just a few things that are taking shape in my workshop (which was uprooted today with the delivery of a giant new china cabinet in which i plan to store all my crafty goodies…until that’s all ready, well, we might be tripping over fabric piles for a few days yet…). i’m bringing back a toned down version of the elf hat this winter (slightly less pointy and a little more wearable, i think) – because dang, kids just look so so cute in them. and those stripey hispter dolls are on trial…i can’t decide if i love love them, or if they look like a man in a baby’s sleeper. ah well.

ella’s been especially interested in ‘helping me’ lately, so i’ve had her sort my buttons and rick rack into colors, put fabric into piles, and any other job i think is two year old do-able. everyone’s happy.

happy tuesday!
